Montgomery County History Center

The Montgomery County History Center is a combined museum,
educational, and research facility.  Exhibits related to Montgomery County
and Iowa history are on display with rotating exhibits.
 
Some highlights include Red Oak Fountain Square Mural,
exhibits of Masonic Lodge #162, local industries, 
schools, military, and life on the farm and in the villages.
 
Enjoy a walk around on the grounds and view the 1853 Log House,
1884 Barn, Corn Crib, General Store - Post Office, and herb garden
Located two blocks directly south in Legion Park
is an 1870 one-room schoolhouse and 1866 Log Cabin.  

All of these museum facilities and exhibits are located
just a few city blocks from the Red Coach Inn & Restaurant.
